"Poesy" litter

I had a difficult time picking a litter theme. First it was going to be a "dream" litter or a "birthday" litter because the puppies came on MLK Jr.'s Birthday. Well I started to think of how a few poetic verses always touched me, so I began to research more. This is a collection of verses that touch me and the people I surround myself with on a daily basis. Ellenni's Anam Cara "Cara" (Gaelic for Friend of the Soul) is dedicated to my Friend and Mentor Stacie Stern-Leaphart, she is the friend to me that everyone wishes they had. She is a wealth of knowledge, pride and honesty and someone I would never want to be without. Did I mention "Rule Follower"...I know...That is for Speedy!
This litter is Futurity nominated and was born 15 January 2009. This litter of Harlequins & Mantles will offer fantastic temperaments, and correct conformation. Puppies will be crate trained, basic potty training, Micro-chipped & Registered with AKC CAR, dew claws removed, de-wormed, and up to date on recommended vaccines. I can offer a lifetime of help and resources for all puppies/owners including, 24-hour phone assistance, vacation boarding and free recommended vaccines for the life of the dog.
Cropping services will be offered for these puppies as well.
Ellie went into labor late on Wednesday night and continued into Thursday. After a lot of contractions and no progress by 4pm Thursday, we had the vet perform a c-section for the puppies. Mom and puppies are doing well and show no signs of slowing down.
Week 2- Puppies this week are opening their eyes and beginning to walk. All weigh between 4-5lbs. They are all doing well and are quite content snuggling in a pile together. Occasionally one will find a buddy to mouth wrestle with. Did you notice that from day one to week two it takes two arms to hold the puppies, not just two hands?!!
